The consequences of cyberbullying are profound and far-reaching. Victims often experience severe emotional distress, anxiety, depression, arid in some cases, even plan to suicide. The effects can last a long time and affect a person mentally, emotionally and physically. For example, it sometimes causes feeling of shame or fear of losing interest doing the things. Bullying may cause tiredness, loss of sleep, or headaches and other pains. In addition, cyberbullying may arouse feeling of inferiority that hinders interpersonal skills and ceases trying to deal with the problem.
Everybody wants to live their lives with dignity and pride. No one expects humiliating and embarrassing behaviours by others any means. If a person is repeatedly being harassed, reporting cyberbullying to the police would be a great to address the case. Moreover, education and awareness are essential tools in combating cyberbullying.
